Welch and Rawlings have been musical partners for more than 20 years, known for their signature mix of Appalachian, bluegrass and country music, with albums including “Revival” (1996) and “Time (The Revelator)” (2001).
They’ve collaborated on film soundtracks, including “O Brother, Where Art Thou?” (2000), and received an Academy Award nomination in 2018 for “When a Cowboy Trades His Spurs for Wings” from “The Ballad of Buster Scruggs.”
They also won a Grammy Award for Best Folk Album in 2021 for “All the Good Times (Are Past & Gone)” and are nominated once again in 2025 for their latest studio album “Woodland.”
“Woodland,” released August 23, 2024, is their first album of original material in more than a decade and was inspired by the destruction of their Woodland Sound Studios in Nashville by a tornado in 2020.
Following their 2024 performances, Welch and Rawlings will embark on a 2025 tour, which includes a performance at Carnegie Hall in New York City on May 7.
